Eugene Leventhal
- Eugene is currently the Head of Operations at the Smart Contract Research Forum (SCRF), where he oversees outreach and operations. He came to SCRF from Carnegie Mellon University, where he was a Project Manager supporting a few research initiatives within CyLab, CMU’s Security and Privacy Institute, and where he helped launch the Consequential Podcast. Eugene started in that role upon completing his M.S. in Public Policy and Management from Heinz College at CMU, during which time he helped build the blockchain community on campus and launched the Heinz Radio podcast. Prior to that, he spent 7 years in the finance world after completing a B.S. in Finance and Psychology from NYU’s Stern School of Business. Eugene first got into web3 in early 2016, going down the rabbithole and working on eduDAO, a DAO that was intended to support community fundraising for schools and nonprofits in the Bronx, NY.
